Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal data Macro Rumble collects, why, and what you can do about it. Last updated 3 November 2026.
Who we are
Macro Rumble (macrorumble.com) is the controller of your personal data. Contact us about anything in this notice at [email protected].
The Weekly Rumble email
What we collect. If you sign up, we keep your email address, the time you confirmed your subscription and where you signed up (our website form). We don't ask for your name and we don't track whether you open our emails or click their links.
Why. We use your email address only to send you the weekly email you asked for, and the confirmation email that comes before it. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by confirming your subscription from the link we email you. You can withdraw it at any time.
Unsubscribing. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email [email protected].
How long we keep it. We keep your details until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address on a suppression list, marked as unsubscribed, so we never email you again by mistake. If you never confirm a signup, we store nothing: the pending signup exists only inside the confirmation link, which expires after 48 hours.
Who processes your data for us
- Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) stores our subscriber list and sends our emails. Because Resend is a US company, your data may be transferred to the USA under the safeguards in Resend's data processing agreement.
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.) hosts this website, runs our sign-up form and provides our website analytics.
We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else.
Website analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn't use cookies or local storage to track you, and it doesn't build a profile of you. Visits from automated browsers aren't counted.
If you'd rather not be counted, add ?notrack=1 to the end of any page address on this site. That stores a small first-party opt-out setting (a cookie called mr_notrack and the same value in your browser's local storage) on that device, and the analytics script isn't loaded while it's set. Use ?notrack=0 to undo it.
Settings kept on your device
The site remembers a few choices in your browser's local storage, such as your time zone, light or dark theme, saved views and Lab settings. These stay on your device. If you vote in a release poll, your browser keeps a random poll token so you can only vote once; we store only a one-way hash of it with your vote. To stop vote spamming we also keep a one-way hash of your IP address for up to two hours.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to take it elsewhere, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To do any of these, email [email protected]. We'll reply within one month.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
